Bill Kerr learned to play the guitar at the age of seven and began playing professionally at the age of twelve. After high school, Bill studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and later received a music degree from the University of Denver. Bill’s primary music influences include Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenour, Al Di Meola, John Scofield and Allan Holdsworth. 


Bill has the ability to cross between genres with ease and brings with him an extensive background in the music industry. Over his career he has played with numerous rock, country, funk and jazz bands in Denver, Colorado. Bill also owned and operated Kerr/Macy Music Group, one of Denver’s top recording studios, during the 90’s.  


Since moving to North Carolina in 2016, Bill has been given numerous opportunities to play as a solo jazz artist in many of the  finer restaurants in Wilmington. He also founded the fusion jazz band “Burnin’ Bridges” which has consistently received enthusiastic praise and support from audiences.


Whether performing in a group or playing solo jazz, Bill brings a wealth of experience with him and his proficiency and passion for the guitar is evident in every performance.   

Dave Maffris is a pianist, composer and producer living and working in the Southeast Coastal Carolinas since 2017.  Dave began studying classical piano at age 6, and as a teenager switched to pop music, playing professionally since age 14. Since then Dave has performed both as a singer/songwriter, and keyboardist in many bands,  has written countless songs and instrumental compositions, and excels in many different genres, including jazz, blues, R&B, fusion, pop, and funk.  Dave has released three smooth jazz CD's:   Dreamer (2010), Seasons (2012), and Moods (2014), all of them also available on iTunes, Spotify, and most of the other major streaming services.  Dave's many musical influences include Bill Evans, Chick Corea, Herbie, Hancock, Jeff Lorber, Joe Sample, Bob James, Russ Ferrante, Bruce Hornsby, and others from many different genres.

Since moving to North Carolina,  Dave has been performing regularly with Burnin' Bridges, and several other bands, and occasionally as a solo artist. His most recent work , released in 2019, has Dave serving as  producer, arranger, composer  and session musician for the CD  "Point of View", featuring the CBMA Hall of Fame trumpet player Keith Stone, produced in Dave's own 432 Studio in Calabash, NC. Dave's reputation as a versatile and highly skilled keyboardist has created a high demand for his work in a short period of time.

Jake O'Handley is a veteran of the New Jersey music scene with many years of performing and recording experience. His drumming style has been influenced by his eclectic musical tastes, from the Blues to Brazilian samba. This makes him a great fit for building a solid foundation Burnin' Bridges' varied set list.  Since moving to North Carolina, Jake has performed with many of the area's top musicians. Jake has rapidly made a name for himself as a go-to drummer for any band needing a tight and exciting rhythm section.

Vince Bove began playing bass at the age of 20, switching over from guitar after five years of playing the instrument. He studied music at UNCW, learning from great musicians such as Steve Bailey, Bob Russell, Jerald Shynett, Rob Nathanson and Dr. Steven Errante. After graduating in 2013 he began gigging around the Wilmington and Myrtle Beach areas, playing various genres in many different groups. Vince's fluid and creative style has him in heavy demand as one of the leading bassists in the area.

Some of his main influences on bass include Steve Bailey, Taylor Lee, Anthony Jackson, Sharay Reed, Cody Wright, Dywane "MonoNeon" Thomas, Jr., Pino Palladino, James Jamerson and Justin Chancellor. Vince has created his own unique style that fits almost any type of music.
